Halona Cove is located on Oahu’s southeast coast, about 25-35 minutes from Waikiki and is conveniently located next door to Sandy beach park. This makes it an ideal combo 2 location for a fun photo session. Due to the fact that this location involves climbing, I do not recommend this location for young children or individuals with mobility issues. Hiking down into the cove, past the lava rocks, requires the use of hiking shoes. This is a great location for couples or a surprise proposal session. I recommend starting early in the morning, before it gets too crowded, as this is a small cove location. One of my favorite spots in Oahu for enjoyable family, couple, engagement, proposal, maternity, and wedding photography is Waialae Beach Park. This location is approximately ten to fifteen minutes’ drive from Honolulu, Hawaii’s Waikiki Beach. This is a great spot for early-morning portraits! The calm water of Waialae Beach Park makes it an excellent choice for young children as well. There are many well-kept palm trees, blue water, a beach, an island, and KoKo head in the distance at this location. There is a ton of variety here! Waialae beach is also a fantastic location for family portraits and hidden areas for couple’s and proposal photos.

PICINIC SET UP FOR SURPRISE PROPOSAL AND COUPLE’S PHOTO SESSIONS IN OAHU

As Oahu proposal photographers we offer Oahu proposal packages with photography, drone, video, music, decor and more! We offer a full hour photography session capturing the entire proposal then a fun photo session afterwards. The drone will get awesome angles from above with beautiful water, reef and a unique view of

the proposal set up. Video will capture the proposal from eye level with audio. Our musicians play ukulele or guitar and can learn songs of choice. We offer many different set ups with signs, hearts made of flowers, picnic set ups and more!

The picnic setup will have an assortment of cheese, crackers, snacks and favorite deserts. It comes w/ chilled cider, but you can bring your own champagne if you prefer, and we can put on ice. You also will have bottle waters.

As you walk down the path to your proposal spot, the drone will pick up footage all along the way. As you walk up to your proposal spot, out team will be hiding and ready. To decorate your proposal spot, we offer signs, flowers, surfboards and more! One of our props is the wooden marry me sign.

This can be customized with adding roses, a lei heart and a rose runway.

Another sign we offer for your proposal in Oahu is the Marry Me Light Up sign. This can also be customized with roses, lei hearts and adding a rose runway. We also offer a huge lei heart that can be filled with roses. With the lights inside the sign, this sign is great for sunset.

One of our popular set ups is the wooden surfboard set up. The light up Marry Me Sign and the lei heart is included with the surfboard set up. We have options of filling the heart with roses or a huge lei heart with roses.

Another one of our most popular is the proposal picnic set up. This is set up next to the proposal spot, so after your photo session, you can celebrate your engagement! With the picnic set up we offer pillows for comfort, baskets, flowers and choices of assorted desserts, snacks and beverage. The picnic set up is also great for fun pictures at the end of your session. We offer non-alcoholic champagne, but you can always bring your own. We can also add pictures of the two of you to decorate the picnic.

As proposal photographers in Oahu we get to do surprise proposal sessions in some of the most amazing locations. Halona Cove is a beautiful spot on the East side of Oahu. It is a great spot for a surprise proposal

because of the beauty and uniqueness. It is also close to Sandy beach, so a two-location shoot can be set up.

As Oahu proposal photographers, it is one of our favorite locations without a doubt!

For an infamous movie scene in a classic film, this secret Oahu beach is commonly known as Eternity Beach

from From Here to Eternity! Thousands of visitors visit it each year, despite the fact that it’s unmarked and not so easy to find. When you visit the south end of Halona Blowhole, which is not too far from Hanauma Bay and Sandy Beach, you should most likely find that Oahu beach. This Oahu beach is still a popular filming spot for newer blockbuster hits like Pirates of the Caribbean and I Know What You Did Last Summer. A stunning beach with golden sand, clear blue waters, and rugged cliffs on the southern shore of Oahu, Eternity Beach offers a beautiful and peaceful setting. hile the majority of visitors are viewing Halona Beach Cove from high up and taking photographs, some go on a path to the beach in order to see it better and explore its exceptional beaches. Proposal Locations in Oahu, Hawaii!

As proposal photographers in Oahu, Hawaii we offer proposal packages and set ups at beautiful locations. These are the top locations we offer.

Halona Cove is one of the most amazing locations in Oahu. As far as proposal photography locations, there are cliffs, a sandy beach and a cool lava tube that goes all the way to the other side of the hike. Best time for proposal sessions are morning to late afternoon.

The address is 8699 Kalanianaole Hwy, Honolulu, HI 96825. It is a short drive from Hanama Bay and just before Sandy beach.

Halona Cove is an amazing cove that you can hike down into and be surrounded by a turquoise lagoon. Many tv shows and movies have been filmed here because of its beauty.  Aqua Man, Stranger Things, Pirates of the Caribbean just to name a few. Many turtles like to swim around the cove so you will most likely get a view of at least one if not whole families of sea turtles.

Make sure to wear shoes that are easy to hike in. The hike is easy but even easier with good shoes.

Bring a change of clothes because its definitely a place where its fun to jump in the water.

 Our next favorite beach for proposal photography is Waialae Beach Park in the Kahala area. This location is a quick drive from Waikiki hotels and offers a whole set of amazing photo ops.

It is also connected to the Kahala resort if this ends up being your choice of accommodation.  The beach is surrounded by blue water, palm trees and small islands that are in the backdrop of some of the spots. There are even small palms to sit on for fun photos and the Koolau mountain can be seen in the distance.

Also, a fun place to jump in the water with shallow access in most areas. There are restrooms as you enter and leave the park.  Best times for proposal sessions at Waialae beach park are late morning to early evening.  The park is located at 4925 Kahala Ave, Honolulu, HI 96816 just behind Kahala mall and a fun drive from Waikiki hotels passing Diamondhead areas.

 

 

The next proposal location and our most popular and chosen is Sandy beach park. This spot is very popular not only for its amazing beauty but it being not as busy and more space for proposal set ups.

Beautiful blue ocean water, sandy beaches, rocks and amazing mountain ranges in the background are things to expect at Sandy beach. Sandy can be a great location from morning to night and best at sunset. Sandy beach also has tons of parking and 2 restroom locations.

Sandy beach is a few blocks away from Halona cove so we do two location packages for both locations. If you decide on Sandy beach or Halona cove there are many restaurants in the area that will not be as busy as in town.  One of the big favorites is Roy’s in Hawaii Kai a few miles away from Sandy beach and Halona Cove.
